Born from a Real Need

When co-founder Katell Perrot, a mother of three and former marketing director at L’Oréal, couldn’t find safe, effective skincare for her kids, she teamed up with fellow L’Oréal alum and biochemical engineer Stéphane Lafond. Together, they launched TOOFRUIT in 2010, blending scientific expertise with a parent’s intuition.
Their breakthrough? A discovery with Professor Philippe Humbert from Besançon University Hospital in France: children don’t produce sebum—the natural oil that helps adult skin stay hydrated and protected. That means children’s skin is up to 10 times drier and more sensitive than adults’.
